A Reputation 37 Years in the Making
In 1986, a young apprentice named Mike Davis embarked on a journey in the world of automotive repair, starting at the Government garage in Zillmere. His dedication and skill soon led him to Mark Crane Automotive, where he joined as a third-year apprentice. Mike’s journey was not just about mastering his craft; it was about building a legacy.
By 1995, Mike had not only completed his apprenticeship but also entered a new chapter in his life by marrying Sarah. Their partnership extended beyond personal life, as Sarah joined the business in 1997, bringing her own strengths to the growing team. That same year, their family grew with the birth of Molley, followed by Katie in 1998, and Emma in 1999. Amidst the joys and challenges of parenthood, Mike’s commitment to his profession never wavered.
In 2001, Mike’s journey took a significant turn as he employed his first apprentice, passing on his knowledge and skills to a new generation. His passion for cars wasn’t confined to the garage; Mike also ventured into the world of racing, sponsoring and competing in Liter Sprint Cars.
The year 2007 marked a milestone for Mike as he took a bold step in his career by purchasing the building, a testament to his dedication and success. His reputation for excellence continued to grow, and by 2014, Mike achieved recognition as an RACQ approved supplier, a status he proudly maintains.
Today, Mike leads a team of over eight members, each contributing to the legacy of a business that is more than just a garage. It’s a story of passion, growth, and family, a story that began with a young apprentice’s dream and grew into a thriving enterprise under Mike Davis’s guidance.
